EMBRACE II
"Embracing socio-economic development in disadvantages areas through Knowledge and Information Society"

"EMBRACE II" project aims to promote the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), located in disadvantages areas of Europe, Albania included (including Albania), increasing their competitiveness through the Information and Knowledge Society. The project aims to design an important contribution to the development of these instruments such as: EMBRACE Portal and the services offered to business through it (URL: www.e-embrace.net), and SMEs Observatory as well.
The ultimate goal is to overcome existing barriers that these SMEs face, by providing assistance and value-added advisory, e-commerce and information services, which can boost their efficiency and competitiveness, and lead to the development of transnational cooperation and globalization of activities.

“Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism Development”

Project “Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism Development” is supported by European Commission in the framework of “LIFE – Third Countries” program.  It has officially started on 23 January 2007.   During three years of project implementation will be identify and elaborate ways for sustainability growth of Albanian tourism industry in harmony with its environmental, territorial and economic development, improving policies, institutional and entrepreneurial capacities.
There are five partners in the project; three Albanian Institutions: Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sport, University of Tirana – Economic Faculty, CONFINCOM and two Italian Institutions: CNR IMAA (The Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis is part of the Italian National Research Council) and Quality Program. The Beneficiary of the project is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana.

 

“Mare delle Aquile” project funded by European Commission in the framework of INTERREG III A Italia-Albania Puglia Region program.   This project aims to develop and promote the alternative tourism between Italia and Albania.   The lead partner of the project is Chamber of Commerce of Brindisi. Italian partners are: Chamber of Commerce of Bari, Lecce, CER Puglia in Tirana, Retecamere.  Albanian partners are: Chamber of Commerce of Tirana, Durres and Vlore.
